What type of charity can you give?

1. General Fund

2. Sadaqa (Voluntary Charity)

What it is: A non-obligatory, voluntary form of charity given for the sake of Allah.

How it helps: Used for general good—helping the poor, funding projects, or any form of kindness.

When to choose: Anytime, especially to seek blessings, protection, or healing for yourself or loved ones.

3. Zakat (Obligatory Charity)

What it is: A required 2.5% of your eligible wealth given annually by Muslims.

How it helps: Must be given to specific categories of people in need (e.g., the poor, orphans, debtors).

When to choose: When fulfilling your annual Zakat obligation. ICNA ensures it’s distributed according to Islamic principles.
